Talk channels
A channel per team, area or site. One person talks at a time and everyone else hears it instantly. Busy channels tell you who has the floor.
Push-to-talk for teams
Abro turns the Android phones your staff already carry into push-to-talk radios. Press, speak, and the whole team hears you at once, with no dialling and no waiting for an answer. It works across a venue, across town or across your sites. A console in the browser lets your control room talk and listen too.
How it works
Fill in the form below. Your organisation, its own private voice server and your owner account are ready immediately.
In the console, add your team and make channels such as Security, Front desk, Stage or Site B. Put your logo on every screen.
Any Android phone from Android 8 up. Hold the big button, a Bluetooth headset button, or the volume key with the screen off.
What you get
A channel per team, area or site. One person talks at a time and everyone else hears it instantly. Busy channels tell you who has the floor.
Pick a person and talk to only them, even while their channel is busy. They answer with one press.
Talk and listen from a computer. See who is on the air and who is talking, monitor several channels at once, and step in when needed.
Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G, it doesn't matter. Connect a gate, a warehouse and a head office in another city on one channel.
Talk with the volume key while the phone is locked, or through a Bluetooth headset. The app keeps running all shift and comes back on the air by itself after a restart.
Add and remove people, set who can talk or only listen on each channel, and give supervisors priority. Turn a lost phone's account off in seconds.
Each organisation gets its own voice server, separate from every other customer, and voice is encrypted. Nothing is recorded.
Your logo and name appear in the app and the console, so your people know it's your company's system.
For the control room
The console runs in any modern browser, with nothing to install. Dispatchers see every channel, who is in it and who is talking right now. They hold the space bar to talk, listen to other channels without leaving their own, and reach any one person directly.
Deployment
We run it for you. Sign up, install the app and talk. Nothing to set up or maintain.
AvailableAbro runs on your own server at your own site. Your voice and your data never leave your building, and your team keeps talking even when the internet line is down.
AvailableA server at each site for speed and resilience, linked through the cloud so every site, and head office, can talk to each other.
AvailableGet started
Sign up and your organisation is ready in seconds: your own private voice server, your owner account and the console. Add your people, install the app and talk.
Keep these details. Everyone you add signs in with the same organisation name and their own username.
We're setting up a lot of new organisations right now, so we'll finish yours by hand and contact you within one working day.
No. Abro runs on Android phones. Many teams use the phones people already have, or a few low-cost Android phones for shared posts. A Bluetooth headset is a nice extra but not needed.
Not yet. Abro is on Android today. Your control room can use the console in any browser, on any computer.
In the cloud, a data connection: Wi-Fi or mobile data. Voice uses very little data, much less than a video call. With an on-premise server, phones on your site's Wi-Fi keep talking even when the internet is down.
Yes. Choose on-premise and Abro runs entirely on a server at your site, or hybrid to link several sites through the cloud. Tell us when you sign up and we'll plan it with you.
You're heard as you speak, not after a ring and an answer. On a normal mobile connection, the delay is a fraction of a second.
Only people in your organisation who are allowed on that channel. Every organisation has its own separate voice server, and voice travels encrypted. Abro does not record conversations.
From a handful to hundreds. Add as many people as you need in the console.
